The Parish Council have 5 play areas in Bagworth and 1 in Thornton.
Jackson Road, Bagworth
Bagworth Community Centre, Bagworth
Maynard Way/ Durham Way, Bagworth
QEII Sports Ground, Bagworth

All of these areas are suitable for most kind of play with areas set out as appropriate for vigorous play such as football, rugby, cricket, rounders, hockey etc which are generally played by older and more mature children and youths who do not require an adult in attendance.
In neighbouring areas an "adult in attendance" scheme has been set up which provides good results in achieving more interactions, competitive and rewarding ball play between all the age groups.
There is also a large playing area opposite the newly built shops which is owned by Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council.
The village also enjoys an enviable position in the National Forest with it's numerous walks including, Bagworth New Wood which was planted between 1990 and 1992 by Leicestershire County Council, the former Bagworth Colliery site has been reclaimed with a mixture of woodland, open grassland and hedged fields. A public footpath leads from Station Road to a high point overlooking the village and surrounding countryside.
